10 Most Helpful Firefox Add-ons
With this article I will show you my favorite and most helpful Firefox add-ons. These add-ons I use everyday and it makes my life easier as a Web Designer and as a person who enjoys social media sites. * Note * These are not in any order!
- 1. I use this for my everyday designing or just when I like a certain color. ColorZilla is located on the status bar (sorry not sure the correct term) in the bottom left hand corner. This is very useful to use when you see a color you like and have no way to find out what it is. You simply click the icon and click on the color.

- 2. I literally use this add-on every day. It stores my passwords for multiple accounts on anything. It’s not good if you have multiple users on your computer, though because then they can get into your accounts. I tend to not have the same password for everything so with Sxipper I don’t need to remember any of my passwords!

- 3. I just recently installed this and instantly thought it was amazing. This is pretty much a list of your basic social media sites that you can get updates all at once. All you have to do is sign into those accounts using Yoono. Yoono is placed to your left and is a small sidebar, the colors are also customizable. You also have the ability to add widgets as well, like news feed, your hotmail/yahoo/gmail, music straight from any website (last.fm is default). I recommended this completely!

- 4. I just recently installed this and liked this as well. Even though I have Windows 7 and am able to split my screens anyways, I’m only able to do it with two sides/screens — with this I’m able to have as many as possible. You are able to click on links and “Load them on a new Pane” which is a new section of the screen. You are able to choose which side it goes on as well.

- 5. Like the others, I just recently installed this one too. What it does is that your main Bookmarks which you have on your toolbar get scrunched down to just their Favicons and if you scroll over them whatever you named them shows up. This makes a lot more room for all of your main bookmarks and is very handy.

- 6. Read it later is very useful. Though I forget I have it sometimes I still try to use it as much as possible! To use this great add-on you simply right click and select the option Read This Link Later.

- 7. Measure it is a very hadny program to get to know the sizes of anything you see. Just like ColorZilla (#1) it places itself down on the status bar to your left. All you have to do is click it and then click and drag it across your image!

- 8. Sometimes things looks different in different browsers. Now you can switch from IE to Firefox without even leaving Firefox! This is a great add-on if you’re a Web Designer who wants their visitors to be able to view their site in all browsers.

- 9. Save time by speeding up repetitive tasks. Get faster, parallelized downloads, see definitions, auto-load the next page, improve searching, and more. FastestFox will dramatically enhance your productivity! By highlighting anything with this add-on enabled it shows a little box that enables you to search the highlighted text with either OneRiot, Wikipedia, Twitter or Google.

- 10. If there’s an add or an image you don’t want to see ever again then this is the add-on for you. I have used this many times and I just love it. All you do is right click and choose the option Adblock Plus.
