Inspi­ra­tion comes from every­where and there’s a lot of it online. Some­times it’s harder to find than most so I’ve decided to write this arti­cle on my top 5 inspi­ra­tional sites that give me loads of inspiration.

1. 1stwebdesigner is an amaz­ing web­site with loads of arti­cles to give you inspi­ra­tion. This site is not only for inspi­ra­tional pur­poses, they have many arti­cles on Word­Press any­thing, tuto­ri­als for almost any­thing, css, design, every­thing! This is an amaz­ing web­site to go to if you need inspi­ra­tion at any time. All of the arti­cles are writ­ten by mul­ti­ple peo­ple and you can even write for them if you con­tact them and you get paid based on the qual­ity of your work.

2. Noupe is basi­cally just like 1stwebdesigner but it just has dif­fer­ent peo­ple writ­ing for them and has a lot more cat­e­gories. I find that Noupe updates more than 1stwebdesigner but I still pre­fer 1stwebdesigner over Noupe!

3. ColourLovers is an online com­mu­nity filled with col­ors. If you’re stuck on not know­ing what col­ors to choose from for your next lay­out than this is the place for you. You are able to join and cre­ate your own palettes from either scratch or directly from a photo that you upload. You are also able to use what­ever palette and what­ever pat­tern to cre­ate your own Twit­ter theme straight from ColourLovers.com. There are also arti­cles that talk about the lat­est trends with colors.

4. Deviantart is com­monly known but some don’t real­ize it’s poten­tial to bring amaz­ing inspi­ra­tion to not only graphic design but pho­tog­ra­phy, ani­ma­tion and every­thing you can imag­ine. You do not need to be a mem­ber to show some of the amaz­ing cre­ations but in order to sub­mit your own you need to be.

5. Design­Flavr is a Design inspi­ra­tion site that holds some amaz­ing art pieces. You can choose by cat­e­gory, color and tag and are able to sub­mit art­work or an inspi­ra­tional site of your choice just by fill­ing out a form — no memberships!
